In these verses we encounter an amazing promise but one we must be careful to not misunderstand. What Jesus wants us to see is that God is a good Father who delights in giving good gifts to us but perhaps not the kind of gifts we tend to think of. In light of this promise, we are invited to persistently cry out to Him, trusting that He will respond out of His great goodness.
