Having asserted his continued love for his people, the Lord calls his people to account for the dishonour they are showing him. Their worship has become perfunctory — a going through the motions but with no devotion or true worship. God desires their hearts — and ours! He longs for us to see His greatness, to delight ourselves in him and truly worship him, and thereby magnify his greatness before the nations.
