Philippians 4:8-9
“Living for Jesus in Philippi”

Here Paul is preparing to wrap up his letter to this church he planted about a dozen years earlier.  He has spoken at length to the two major issues they are facing.  Now he gives his final exhortations.  As they live in the midst of a pagan and lost city, they are to be both diligent and discerning in what think about, filling their minds with what is good.  Furthermore, they are to put what they’ve learned into practice.  Christianity is about both our heads and our hands, what we think and what we do.  And he promises these believers that they do not walk this journey along but that God himself will be with them.
