Revelation 15:1-16:21
"Worship and Wrath"

Here we come to what is one of the most tragic scenes in the whole of the Revelation, the pouring out of the seven bowls of God’s wrath upon the earth.  As much as we may not want to talk about God’s wrath, the scriptures force us to do so.  God’s wrath is a necessary result of God being both a God of love and of justice.  And even in this awful scene, we are again exposed to evidence of God’s great mercy.  But when humanity refuses to repent and persists in its rebellion against God, the end result will be judgment.  However, for all who repent and put their trust in Jesus, there is mercy and grace for he bore the wrath we deserved so that we might be redeemed.
