In this short portion of the Revelation we are confronted with the sobering truth that all of humanity will one day stand before the judgment throne of God. However, as we will see, this need not cause us to worry. Through faith in Christ we are rescued, our names are written in the Lamb’s book of life and all our sins are covered by the blood of Jesus. But for those who persist in rejecting Christ, this is indeed alarming news. When that day of reckoning comes, our only hope is found in Jesus. The invitation is clear — repent and put your hope in Christ.
