Luke 16:19-31
"A Great Reversal"

In this passage we come to a story that Jesus tells.  It is a story about God’s coming judgment and the two destinies that lie before us.  And it confronts us with God’s call to care for others and  to live compassionate and generous lives.  Failure to do so reveals a failure to truly see the heart of God and ultimately a rejection of God himself.  When we see how God has cared for us, and his compassion and generosity shown to us through the coming of Jesus to live and die for us, in our place, our hearts can’t help but begin to shift.  Our redemption is found in Christ alone — in his performance for us — but as we grasp his great love and great grace, he changes us from the inside out.
