In this story we watch as the disciples encounter a storm that terrifies them to their core. Two questions are asked in this text; first, Where is your faith? and second, Who is this? The identity of Jesus and the appropriate response to that truth, lie at the centre of this passage. When we grasp who Jesus is and that fact that he is with us, we have every reason for a bold, radical faith in whatever circumstances we find ourselves.
