Hebrews 12:14-17

There is a lot packed into these few verses, words of warning and words of encouragement, but it really boils down to two “ways” - the “way” of Esau or the “way” of Jesus or the “way” of the cross. Because Jesus rejected the “way” of Esau and endured the cross, through faith in him we can be set free from sin and set free to follow Jesus in the “way” of the cross. Though following Jesus may mean suffering, in the end it leads to glory while the “way” of Esau leads to rejection and death.
