Daniel 9:20-27
"The End of the Exile"

In this message we explore what is probably the most difficult passage in the book of Daniel. Though we cannot figure out every detail of the text, the message of the passage as a whole is clear enough. The message from God to Daniel is that the longing for the end of exile in Daniel’s heart will not be fully satisfied in the near future. In fact, we come to see that all of life from the time of Daniel until Christ’s triumphal return which yet lies in the future, is characterized by exile. That understanding shapes us as people and the way we live out our days as followers of Jesus.
