I (Pastor Dennis) have challenged myself to participate in the Teen Challenge Freedom Run by running 10K to help raise funds to support this ministry.
For those who are not familiar with the ministry of Teen Challenge, it is a faith-based 12 month residential recovery program for men and women of all ages who are struggling with drug and/or alcohol addiction. Here in Alberta, just south of Calgary, is the Alberta Men's Centre. The closest women's centre is located in the province of Saskatchewan but there are other centres across Canada as well.
I plan to run 10K on Sunday, September 26. I've started training and am recognizing that this will be a significant challenge indeed. I want to challenge you to support me in this by sponsoring me. My goal is to raise at least $1000 for this ministry.
