Matthew 1:18-25
"Courage at Christmas"

In this message we enter into Matthew’s account of the events leading up to the birth of Jesus.  Though we don’t know much about Joseph, Jesus’ adoptive father, if we are attentive, we do discover that the coming of Jesus required great courage on his part.  The coming of Jesus also requires great courage on the part of every person who chooses to put their trust in Jesus.  But we are not left to produce this courage on our own.  We look to Jesus and witness his great love evidenced in his incarnation, his suffering and his death for us, and we will discover welling up within us the courage needed to live as his disciples.
