"Resurrection"

Each one of the four gospels includes within it, the story of Jesus’ resurrection.  And each story is marked by the element of astonishment and surprise.  Regardless of the things Jesus had said ahead of time about rising again, no one saw this coming — no one was expecting this!  It was this event, the resurrection of Jesus, that transformed the lives of his followers and it can transform us as well.  The resurrection of Jesus has significance for our lives, declaring to us that death does not get the last word and inspiring boldness as we live to make Jesus known.
