Alison Wiebe, a member of Sunrise Community Church, is now in Cambodia where she has joined the YWAM Battanbang staff for a two year commitment.  This next step of Alison's journey, follows her 18 month experience at YWAM in Australia, an experience which included a 12 month Birth Attendant School (BAS).  The BAS provided Alison with an opportunity to build upon her interest in midwifery, gaining knowledge and developing skills in midwifery which included hands-on learning in India, Tanzania, and Zambia.

After the initial 6 months a the School of Ministry Development (SOMD) in Cambodia, Alison will be joining a new ministry, also based in Cambodia, called "A Mother's Journey."  Through this ministry, she will be involved in working with women in crisis pregnancy situations such as extreme poverty and abuse, providing holistic care through partnering with local clinics and hospitals, while also taking opportunities to share the love and hope of Jesus with those she encounters.

As Alison's church family, we are excited about her desire to follow Jesus' leading and about her passion for mission overseas.  We count it a privilege to partner with her in this next leg of her journey and are eager to hear stories about how God will work in and through her.
